The Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India (GoI) has established the National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent, autonomous, and self-sustained premier testing organization under the Societies Registration Act (1860) for conducting efficient, transparent, and international standardized tests in order to assess the competency of candidates for admission to premier higher education institutions with a mission to improve equity and quality in education by developing and administering research-based valid, reliable, efficient, transparent, fair and international level assessments.

NTA has created a system that is promoting teaching (by teachers), learning (by students), and assessment (by parents and institutions). NTA strongly believes in the quality, efficiency, effectiveness, equity, and security of assessments. To practice these values, NTA is constantly engaging with its stakeholders, viz. students, parents, teachers, experts, and partner institutions

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 is a crucial entrance test for admission to undergraduate engineering programs in India. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the schedule and registration details for the upcoming sessions.

Session 1:

Registration Period: October 28 to November 22, 2025

Exam Dates: January 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, and 30, 2026. 

Admit Card Release: January 18, 2026. 

Session 2:

Registration Period: January 31 to February 25, 20256 

Exam Dates: April 1 to 8, 2026. 

Admit Card Release: March 28, 2026 (tentative). 

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must have qualified their Class 12 board exams in 2024, 2025, or be appearing in 2026. 

Application Process:

Applications for Session 2 are currently open. Interested candidates can apply through the official JEE Main website: jeemain.nta.nic.in. 

Exam Pattern:

Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech): Computer-Based Test (CBT) with 75 questions (25 each from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics). Each correct answer awards 4 marks, and each incorrect answer deducts 1 mark. 

Paper 2 (B.Arch/B.Planning): Includes sections on Mathematics, Aptitude, and Drawing/Planning. 

Syllabus:

The syllabus for JEE Main 2025 remains consistent with previous years, covering topics from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as per the NCERT curriculum.

Regularly practice previous years' question papers.

Take mock tests to assess and improve your performance.
